Celtics trade out, draft Johnson

The Celtics moved out of their 25th pick in tonight's NBA Draft, trading down to 27 after a trade with New Jersey nets them a future 2nd round pick and an exchange of the first round picks.

The Celtics picked Providence's Marshon Brooks for NJ at 25 while the Nets picks Purdue's JaJuan Johnson at 27 for Boston.

Johnson's a 6'10" big man who can run the floor, block shots and play some good pick'n'roll basketball, something the Celtics love to do.

Read more on Johnson in his profile on ESPN.

Brooks, who many mock drafts had going as early as 15, gets some needed playing time in NJ instead of sitting on Boston's bench due to his lack of defensive skills.
