CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR features MLB MIDSEASON REPORT PRESENTED BY STATE FARM on Saturday, July 2 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET). Host Matt Winer is joined by analysts David Wells, Cal Ripken Jr. and Dennis Eckersley, who breakdown the biggest stories from the first half of the 2011 season, including the Dodgers ownership situation, the Red Sox turnaround, managerial changes, collisions at home plate, injuries to key players and more. The show also features an interview with Yankees center fielder Curtis Granderson, as well as midseason awards and playoff predictions.

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR GOES YARD WITH “2011 TD AMERITRADE HOME RUN DERBY” ON SUNDAY, JULY 3

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR presents “2011 TD AMERITRADE HOME RUN DERBY” on Sunday, July 3 (2:00 PM, ET; taped 6/2/11) from TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb. This second annual event showcases eight of the nation’s premier power hitters facing off in an elimination style format. Competitors include Victor Roache (Georgia Southern University), the nation’s No. 1-ranked home run hitter, Daniel Aldrich (College of Charleston), Andrew Rash (Virginia Tech University), Doug Shribman (Bucknell University), Dylan Pratt (East Tennessee University), Joey DeMichele (Arizona State University) and Connor Harrell (Vanderbilt University). Baseball legends Paul Molitor and Joe Carter serve as honorary hitting coaches. Play-by-play announcer Adam Zucker is joined by former Major League Baseball All-Star Frank Thomas to call the action.
