The Red Sox have called off the Rich Harden deal. Late last night, the Red Sox told the A's that after looking at Harden's medical records, they didn't think the pitcher could make it through the rest of the season physically.
So, at least for now, first baseman Lars Anderson remains with the PawSox
Now the Red Sox attention may turn to Seattle's Erik Bedard.
