CBS SPORTS TEES UP JOHN DEERE CLASSIC ON JULY 9 & 10 AS STEVE STRICKER GOES FOR THREE-PEAT
CBS Sports broadcasts third- and final-round coverage of the JOHN DEERE CLASSIC on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10 (3:00-6:00 PM, ET; both days) live from TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.
Historically a haven for first-time PGA TOUR winners, the past two years has seen Steve Stricker win the JOHN DEERE CLASSIC as he defends his 2009 and 2010 titles against the likes of past John Deere Classic champions including Kenny Perry (2008), Jonathan Byrd (2007), J.P. Hayes (2002) and David Toms (1997); past major champions including Mike Weir, Louis Oosthuizen Zach Johnson, Stewart Cink, David Duval, Rich Beem, Shaun Micheel, Todd Hamilton, Davis Love III, Lee Janzen, John Daly and Toms, as well as a mixture of young guns including Jason Day, Jhonattan Vegas, Chez Reavie, Andres Romero and D.J. Trahan, and grizzled veterans including Chris DiMarco, Woody Austin, Brad Faxon and Paul Goydos.
CBS Sports’ announce team of Bill Macatee and Ian Baker-Finch in the 18th tower, Peter Oosterhuis on the 17th hole, and David Feherty on the 16th hole, call the action.
