The Red Sox have officially put pitcher Jon Lester on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left lat muscle. Scott Atchinson gets the call from Pawtucket while Alfredo Aceves gets Lester's start on Sunday.
The Red Sox have also announced that Carl Crawford will not play before the break as he rehabs the pulled hamstring in his leg.
