Radovich nominated for Emmy Award

CBS Sports’ Pete Radovich, Jr. Nominated for Emmy Award for “Outstanding Feature Story in a News Magazine” for Story on Samoan Football As Part of 60 MINUTES’ 23 Emmy Nominations

CBS News was recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) with 34 News and Documentary Emmy Award nominations for segments broadcast in 2010. 60 MINUTES garnered 23 of the Network's 34 Emmy nominations and led CBS News to earn more nominations than any other Network.

Among the nominations for 60 MINUTES was a story produced by CBS Sports’ 21-time Emmy Award-winning producer Pete Radovich, Jr. Radovich produced his first ever story for 60 MINUTES, “Football Island,” which told of the propensity of the tiny Island of Samoa to produce so many great, college and NFL-caliber football players. The story was nominated for “Outstanding Feature Story in a News Magazine.”

The 31st Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards will be presented Monday, Sept. 26, at a ceremony at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, located in the Time Warner Center in New York.
