According to various reports out of Boston this morning, Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz will not pitch again this season as he's suffered a stress fracture in his back. Buchholz, who's already missed six weeks due to the injury, could possibly pitch in the postseason but it's not likely according to people close to the situation.
The Red Sox acquired lefty pitcher Erik Bedard from Seattle Sunday as insurance against the Buchholz injury.
