Scenario 1 (female): You and this guy have grown up together. You two have been through everything from daycare to church. You two get older and both of you start to change. You get to middle school and start to mature, and both of you start to do your own thing. Both of you have had your crushes, and he gets a girlfriend. You start feeling jealous, but never show it until you realize how much time you and him don't spend together. The jealousy is brought about by feelings that you didn't know that were there. So are you two still just friends?
Scenario 2 (male): You and your home girl who is sort of like a sister to you, kicks it with you normally. She is someone that you trust, but in a completely platonic way, in fact, she's more like one of the boys. You both know each others family. Everyone knows that you two are friends when they see you they see her. Shoot, because of the friendship, both of you are always single. One night for whatever reason while you two are kicking it, things get a little hot and heavy. Let's just say that you two go from watching a movie to having a movie watch you. So are you two still just friends?
Males and females have had platonic relationships for years. Because of these friendships one person often catches feelings for the other which is often not mutual. Sometimes things happen between friends that are sexual. My question to you is, if someone catches feelings for a friend or have relations that are actually intimate, are they truly still just friends?
