Nicki Minaj: So Much Hate

Hate it or love it, Nicki Minaj is making waves within the Hip Hop game and the music industry. With her debut album on it's way, many individuals are anticipating either her success or failure. Nicki has been on her grind as of late, hitting the road to promote her up and coming release, doing countless shows all over the states. Personally, I've been listening to Nicki Minaj before all this pink hair barbie stuff, way before she was even signed, and even then I was a semi-fan of her aggressive style of rapping.

Nicki Minaj has made a drastic change in appearance and improvement when it comes to her music and style of flow. But what I don't understand is the hate, focus, and obsession with her back side, a**, booty - call it what you want, but honestly I just don't get it. Whether it be on Twitter or me just relaxing with a female counter part, as soon as Nicki Minaj pops up on the television, her a** is the focus of attention or insults. I've heard it all, "She got butt pads" "Plastic booty" "Her a** is fake". What I'm trying to understand is, what does her body have to do with anything? People who hate on others are always bringing up something that is truly irrelevant; something they can discredit, pick apart, or criticize just to make themselves feel better. Women in general do this a bit too much and when I see or hear it, I'm always thinking to myself that it must be something deeper than what meets the surface. It's not just Nicki Minaj but a whole slew of other women as well. So my question is, what is one to gain from tearing down, insulting, and picking apart another individual? There's already a high percentage of men who insult and often tear down women, why make it worst and tear one another down?

Feel free to comment, leave feedback and answer the questions within this post, thank you.

What Women Want...

What Do Women Want?
RESPECT

Respect: Nowadays it has become extremely common for men to disrespect women ... sad to say, but this type of treatment happens often, I've witnessed it all throughout my life. Growing up, I watched my Father disrespect my mother with action and his choice of words. Most men fail to realize that they are disrespecting women simply because of the examples set before them while growing up. A boy want's to be like his father, he takes more after his father's ways. Watching your father like mine, who is to be an example, you learn at an early age that disrespecting women is acceptable, but it isn't.

I grew up mostly without my father around, and honestly I benefited from it. As a child I watched my father mistreat my mother, disrespect her, and abuse her (mentally & emotionally). I always thought to myself, "I never want to be the reason for a woman's tears".

I know that one day I may be the father of a young woman, I wouldn't want some man disrespecting her, so I do unto women as I would like to be done unto my future seed. If more men thought this way, they wouldn't disrespect women.

As a Man, you are to uplift, protect, and love your woman...
We must do better, respect Our women.

TAKE BACK YOUR HAPPINESS

Life is short indeed, too short to be wasted upon those who don't even care about you & your well being. To appreciate your life is to know your value and to refuse to give your time, your life, and your love to someone whom will never appreciate it.

I encourage all of you to wake up, you've been asleep...
eyes open but unable to see life's truth.

WAKE UP...
you've been asleep...
while walking amongst those who seek to tear you down.

Wake up...
and begin to take back what's yours...
Your life, your love, and your happiness.

I need you to realize that what you deserve...
is all that God has planned for you.
Stop living your life to make others happy...
to please others is to neglect what you want and what you deserve.
THIS IS YOUR LIFE, YOUR MOMENT & YOUR DAY!
TAKE BACK YOUR HAPPINESS...
it is rightfully yours!
I don't know about you...
but I am willing and ready to take back whats mine...

My Thoughts on Racism...RIP Anthony Hill

Have you heard of this hate crime? A young black African-American male, shot in the head and dragged down the street by a truck (and suspect). When I heard about this my heart dropped. I'll never understand the hate that consumes an individual so much to the point that they would take that hate out on others, ending their lives. People refuse to open their minds, causing them to hate other people and the things that they fail to understand. OPEN YOUR MIND, OPEN YOUR HEARTS AND LETS LEARN FROM ONE ANOTHER AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER. Yes we live upon such a great Earth in size, but honestly ... there is no room for hate. Hate leads to the destruction of self & others. STOP THE VIOLENCE, END THIS HATE ... RIP Anthony Hill.

"You never get to see it coming, you just get to see it go."

I can recall the day I decided that what she was doing was more important than what I was doing at the time, for what she was to become would be bigger than the both of us. I let her go but promised I would visit and eventually pack my bags and end up with her...for good.

We were both pursuing the same thing and had the same dream - music was always the plan. Our schedules were often divergent, so we barely saw each other and started becoming strangers to one another while under the same roof.

I was excited when she made it. Though it was before me, it was still a win, for we were apart of the same team. Months went on but soon after, we would end.

The drive to the airport was the longest. She never said a word, acting as if she didn’t care. I got to the gate to aboard my plane. I walked away while looking back as she broke down, tears streaming from her eyes something like a mini river. It was then that I thought to myself, "she cares" but for months she never showed it until now that I’ve made up my mind. I entered the plane and from that day on…I never looked back. I often see her on the net or on TV, and when I do…I smile.

”You never get to see it coming, you just get to see it go.”

Woman: More Than an Object

By @TheMulahTruth

When I hear the word "woman", so many things come to mind. My thoughts are overtaken by GREAT things and visions...

I personally value the essence, mind and very being of a woman. You see, many men look at a woman and categorize her by her appearance. I see more than that. I go to the depths of the soul, the personality.

The most beautiful woman is far more than a beautiful structure or what she appears to be. The most beautiful woman holds a GOLDEN personality, soul, and heart.

All in all, a woman in general is more than an object. She is something to be earned, appreciated, respected, and cherished. YOU ARE THAT WOMAN.

My Open Letter to All Women

Dear Ladies,

Don't lose hope, for it is the hopeless who settle. Don't settle, for you truly deserve so much more. No one man is perfect, but there is a man in existence who shall treat you right, treat you good, and give you exactly what you deserve.

Beside every good woman, should stand a good man & vice versa. I watch, as too many women settle for what I call ... .a "NOTHING RELATIONSHIP." Which simply means, there's no substance, a weak foundation, no room to grow, and you basically live each day within a relationship with an individual that gives you nothing physically or emotionally. A relationship that has no substance will surely end in heartbreak, usually for the woman. Leaving someone who you love may be hard, but begins to get easier when you realize your self-value. Your self-worth is of major importance and value, loving yourself can almost/ always mean not putting up with your significant other's sh*t, and as I said before, makes it easier to leave. Loving yourself, knowing your self-value is realizing that you deserve better. Once you realize that ... i'm sure you won't settle.
