Monkey on Your Back?

By @butterfliesblue

Most people at some time in their life have had a bad habit which may be known as "having a monkey on one's back". This habit could be promiscuous sex, getting back into a bad relationship, smoking, drinking, gossiping, etc. Whatever it is, it's not good for you nor the people that may be involved. The truth is that people don't have bad habits just to have them. There is something so strong that keeps a hold onto that won't let you go. This is not for those that know they have a bad habit. This is for those that want to help get rid of it.

The first step in trying to get rid of a problem is admitting that you have one, You can't get better being in denial. It is important to try to figure out where does it comes from. Here are some examples of problems and possible sources of the problem.

Many people get stuck going back and forth to bad relationships. Are you afraid that you will not find anyone else? Do you not think that you deserve better? People that gossip seem to be seeking attention or acceptance. People that are always suspicious of others may not be able to trust their selves. Whatever the problem that you have, you need to find the source.

The best way of getting rid of any problem is changing your thought pattern. Actions comes from your thoughts so try to either broaden your horizon or spend some alone time doing serious thinking. Once your mind is changed, you won't have the desire to do that action anymore. Be careful with this though, The fact that you may have a problem is a red flag that maybe this can not be solved alone. Try to find someone to talk with unbiased opinions or do some reading on your problem. Whatever it is try not to do it completely alone. Most importantly if you have serious problems and don't want to pay for a Doctor visit, go to http://www.drphil.com/. If he can't help you, then you're just screwed.

Filled Out vs Thick vs Fat

By: @butterfliesblue

There seems to be a lot of confusion as to what "filled out", "thick" or "fat" is. Well here's a little clarity. Filled out just simply means that you have developed as a woman. You've put on some meat on your bones in the right places but thin at the same time. A filled out woman may even have curves like Halle Berry for example. She's in shape and yet she has the curves of a woman.

Thick women may also have weight in the right places, curves, are filled out, and may be in shape; however their thighs are usually fully and curves more plump like Raven Symone BEFORE the baby weight (Before/After Comparison Below)

Now fat is pretty much self-explanatory. No need to hurt any feelings, just look at the picture.

So are you Filled Out, Thick, or Fat?

The Importance of Keeping it Real

by: @wwwgabecom

“Keeping it real”, we all remember the Dave Chappelle skit where keeping it real goes wrong, where he's making fun of people that seem to say they always keep it real. But in all honestly, some people don’t really know the essence of the phrase. Keeping it real is basically just another way of saying things EXACLY how it really is and not sugar-coating it. This is important in any relationship, whether it be your friend, your girlfriend or just anyone that you keep close to you.

Personally, I feel that some relationships go sour because one person in the relationship or even both don't keep it real with each other. The problem with one person being real is that the other person feels attacked in a way. You can either agree or disagree but that's just how I view things. You always hear that there has to be communication in a relationship but no one really talks about what kind of communication it is. Isn't it obvious? Be real with them, if you feel something is wrong, or even if something is going great, tell them how you're loving/hating it, or in another case how it's bothering you. They're your partner for a reason, try and resolve it. I'm not here tryna be on no Dr. Phil tip, I'm just “keeping it real.” On the other hand, if both people don't say nothing to each other then their relationship is based on lies because we all know if you keep something from someone that is a form is lying, (it's called omission, for those who didn't know.)

But keeping it real is not just with your significant other, its also with people you keep close to you; like your friends and family. There’s been situations where friends of mine be doing the dumbest things in the world and I tell them about it, to benefit them. Because a true friend looks out for your best interest, not their own. But you also have to view it through their eyes cuz sometimes what you define as dumb, is not dumb to them. So when I speak about the importance of keeping it real, it's also when to voice your opinion and when to hold back and wait for your moment. Some people are hardheaded and we know this lol. But you gotta be your friends’ crutches sometimes and hold them up, just like you’d want them to hold you up. It's as simple as not letting them go down a road you might've gone down or just telling them, “nah that outfit ain't lookin right, change.”

Keeping it real doesn't have to be difficult, but some people make it out to be.

The Truth About The Truth

it seems nowadays that everyone wants to associate themselves with people who keep it "real" or basically people who dont BS or sugarcoat things. The sad fact is that most people can't accept the truth at all, and even worse, they complain about it. Why request something that you cant handle? An answer I hear often is that you're "too brutally honest". Let's get this straight right now: there is NO such thing as being "too" honest. The truth is the truth no matter what way you put it, you can't ask for someones honest feelings or opinion about something, then get mad when their answer isn't what you wanted to hear. THE TRUTH HURTS. If you have a hard time listening to peoples feelings, or you think everyone should say things that will boost your head, you have a HARD life ahead of you. Especially when it comes to women always looking for a "real" dude, but when they have one, they don't appreciate his honesty and claim it's him "not caring about my feelings". The truth about the truth is that most people can't handle it, so they lie to cover up their true emotions. Lets bring the truth back with NO exceptions!!
