4 Important Changes Obama Has Made So Far

By: Alise (@Dreamaboutalise)

There is no doubt that our current president, Barack Obama, has undergone many criticisms about the work that he has done so far as president. It has been over two years since he has been office, and many expect him to be at the climax of his presidency either this year or next. Many have said that he is a false promiser and hasn't actually made any major changes. This is, however, a false statement and many of the people claiming this have no knowledge of what he has actually done in order to help this nation. Many fail to see the fact that presidents prior to him have caused this country a lot of damage and it will take a lot of work in order for it to get better. Nothing can be fixed over night, and it will take a long time to get our country back into the shape it needs to be in.

These are just a FEW of the major changes that have been made:

1. Increased financial assistance for individuals who want to return to school - Obama has greatly increased funding for people who wish to return to school. Many people who were not able to return to school because they did not have enough money to do so.

2. Closing of Guantanamo Bay - President Barack Obama ordered the closing of the Guantanamo Bay prison facility soon after he took office.

3. Releasing of a major stimulus plan -  Obama was responsible for releasing a major stimulus plan meant to help get the country out of the huge debt it was in. Companies received money in order to stay out of financial ruin and programs were funded in order to continue helping many Americans.

4. Bringing home troops - The troops that were in Iraq have recently been notified that they will be returning home very soon. Obama feels that as a country we should be focusing on our economic issues rather than our troops being in Iraq.
