(@Dreamaboutalise)Whether from our mothers, grandmothers, aunts or sisters, I know we have all heard this old wives' tale about how greasy foods and sweets will cause your face to break out. They tell us to stay far, far away from them or else our faces will look like a pizza pie.
Thankfully this tale is not true. You can eat as much chocolate and pizza as you want to. Just make sure you don't rub it all over your face.
Diane Berson, a New York City dermatologist, says the only foods that may cause you to get acne are sushi, shellfish, and soy sauce because they all contain high amounts of iodine which is linked to inflammation and breakouts.
So go ahead, eat that fried chicken or candy bar with a smile on your face!
