How To CORRECTLY Promote Your Music Online

By @TheyCallMe_Z

A LOT of people are annoyed by artists promoting music online, but there IS a way to correctly do this where the artist can successfully reach potential fans without being a nuisance. Here's some tips:

GET TO KNOW YOUR POTENTIAL FANS!! - How would you feel if a random stranger came and shoved something into your face? Build a small relationship or feeling of friendship before you present your music.

DO NOT SPAM TIMELINES!! - If someone clicks on your timeline, it shouldn't be full of the same tweet w/ your music link being sent to random people.

FIND YOUR FAN BASE!! - If you're a rap artist, make sure your potential fan is a fan of your style of music. If your style is that of Drake or Big Sean, search that & tweet your music to people who listen to them.

GET YOUR MUSIC TO DJs!! - Reaching potentials fans is good, but no artist has ever gone on "Vh1 Behind the Music" and said "I blew up because I tweeted someone my music". Get your music in the right hands. DJs, Promoters, A&Rs and etc.
